The Columbian Mammoth is an extinct mammoth that lived in North America down through Central America during the Pleistocene 15,000 years ago.
This mammoth was one of the last mammoth species and the largest, standing about 13 feet at the shoulders. Its tusks were long and curved. There is evidence of coexistence between the Columbian Mammoth and early humans who hunted them for food and making tools.
